TSE-PKI

The new cash register law has been in force since Jan 2020 and states that all new electronic PC-based cash register systems must be equipped with a certified technical security device (TSE). Old cash register systems must be retrofitted by 2022. This is intended to prevent manipulation and thus tax fraud. The requirements were defined by the BSI in TR-03153.
