BDEW Web API services are MaLo ID & directory service queries, which are able to transmit switching commands. These can be easily integrated into existing applications. A simple interface is used to connect to the energy@Web API services in the certified DARZ data center. A solution that simplifies your work processes.
Energy@Web API services – your new service for suppliers and grid operators
Starting June 6th, 2025 a new regulation will take place, which states that a change of supplier must be completed within 24 hours. In addition, the transmission of switching commands must be secure. Clear rules apply for suppliers and grid operators (BK6-22-024 & BK6-22-128). This brings many advantages, but also challenges for suppliers and grid operators.
Processes and IT systems must be adapted quickly and securely in order to meet the new requirements. It is very important to meet the security standards of the Smart Metering PKI certificate policy. With our energy@Web API services, we make your systems fit for the future. They work efficiently, securely and reliably.
Simple and future-proof: Secure transmission of MaLo ID and directory service queries as well as switching commands
In cooperation with the IT security expert and infrastructure service provider DARZ, we are presenting a powerful service based on the new BDEW Web API. This innovative service enables the
MaLo-ID query as part of the 24-hour supplier change. In addition, suppliers and grid operators are able to transmit switching commands to the responsible metering point operator securely and in compliance with regulations.
There are interfaces that can be used to connect other applications, such as ERP systems for supplier switching or grid control center applications, to energy@Web API services. These services are hosted in DARZ’s certified data center in Germany. This guarantees flexibility, security and simplifies your work processes.
This service implements new requirements quickly and reliably, including cryptographic operations. We ensure that the MaLo-ID retrieval complies with the BDEW and SM-PKI standards. Suppliers and grid operators can send their switching commands to the responsible Metering point operator. This is important so the new requirements can be implemented quickly and correctly.
Another advantage: A directory service enables the automated exchange of communication parameters between market participants in the energy industry. The energy@Web API services automate directory service queries. Use a solution that offers you maximum efficiency and security.
DARZ.CA: Quick and easy access to the right certificates
Valid EMT.API certificates from an authorized sub-certification authority (sub-CA) are required to use the BDEW Web API. These certificates ensure secure communication and reliable authentication.
The DARZ.CA is a certified sub-CA of the Smart Meter PKI in accordance with BSI TR-03145, providing you with the necessary certificates for the 24-hour supplier change and the secure transmission of switching commands to the metering point operator. Our solutions are perfectly coordinated with the energy@Web API services. They integrate your processes seamlessly and efficiently. Put your trust in a solution that combines security, reliability and functionality.
